The Legislative Event is sponsored by the American Baptist Churches, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Church of the Brethren, Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Mennonite Church U.S.A., Presbyterian Church (USA), United Church of Christ, The United Methodist Church and Church Women United.

The day begins with registration check-in and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and ends with travel home at 3:30 p.m. 

Besides the regular one-hour workshops starting at 1 p.m., there will be a second workshop starting at 2:15 p.m. There also will be two workshops running for the entire two-hour period. This gives LEAF participants the opportunity to attend two different one-hour workshops or concentrate one’s time in one two-hour workshop.
