On Saturday, August 25, the Flint Hills District will host “How I Met My Neighbor” - an interactive mission fair style of event. A number of people have identified the need to interact and “hear” from each other in our various churches about how they approach ministry and reach out into their communities. So, we will be sharing stories and have some hands on opportunities in a very interactive setting.
Please mark the date and plan to be at College Avenue UMC in Manhattan. The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with registration; an 11 a.m. worship, followed by a noon meal. In the afternoon, attending churches will share/celebrate ministries and activities they have recently started or are particularly excited about.
