Atchison UMC special offerings help community, Liberia

The Atchison United Methodist Church congregation has taken several special offerings recently.
The church’s pastor, Rev. Cynthia Meyer, presented a check for $846, one-half of the Christmas Eve offering, to representatives of the Backpack Buddies program at Atchison Elementary School. The program, supported by Second Harvest in St. Joseph, the Atchison YMCA and other donations, provides healthy food for 30 pre-school to fifth graders each weekend.

Bristol Hill UMC finds new life

Bristol Hill United Methodist Church in Kansas City is finding new life through some creative ministry opportunities.
