Legislative Event for Advocacy in Faith (LEAF)

The Legislative Event for Advocacy in Faith (LEAF), held annually in February, is a way to express and learn about our faith journey with relationship to state legislation.  February 14, 2012, the event will explore the theme:  The Right to Human Dignity.  Visit displays, hear a keynote speaker, receive legislative session/issue updates.  Access registration and information as you plan to participate in an exciting event which is open to everyone.

The legislative event offers scholarships for youth and young adults ages 15-21 who are interested in making changes in the political world through faith advocacy.  This scholarship assists young people to attend the annual Legislative Event and covers registration, meals, workshops and a travel stipend.  See the registration and information link above for application details.

The Legislative Event is sponsored by the American Baptist Churches, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Church of the Brethren, Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Mennonite Church U.S.A., Presbyterian Church (USA), United Church of Christ, The United Methodist Church and Church Women United.
