Ideas from local churches:
- “Job Club” meets the 2nd and 4th Saturdays each month from 9:30 – 11: a.m. at Olathe Grace United Methodist Church. They meet for support, resourcing, and networking for those in job transition. Their agenda includes guest speakers, the "how-to’s” of résumé writing, making first contact, and interview skills etc. Contact person is Mike Kohler, email mlkohler@comcast.net. The job club is open to anyone both inside and outside the church and there is no requirement for pre-registration or any fees.
- Financial Peace University classes meet at Olathe Grace United Methodist Church. The classes are open to the community both inside and outside the church. Registration fee is $95, with scholarship help available. Everyone is required to offer some financial investment, regardless of how small, as a part of the training.
